One of our very close friends recently was devastated by the news that his son has brain cancer. Noah aka King Chauncey is an amazing little boy, brimming with talent and an usually bright personality.

Spent a dope weekend out in LA with the homey Kanetic Source recently. Kicked it with some real all star cats, got to learn a lot about hip hop history and culture from some real dudes that been doing it for decades.

Seen Chali2na and Abstract Rude do some ridiculously fresh shit at VooDoo Lounge in San Jose. Big ups to the folks at Bring it Back Tour for bringing those cats out and doing it big....

Caught Brother Ali and Grouch at New Parish in Oakland for the How Grouch Stole Christmas Tour. As always some real inspirational emcees building goodness and love as Hip Hop is meant to truly do....

Its been a minute since I did an update....but we still chuggin along.

I put down three verses this month, one for the homey IL Twice who is getting a mixtape out. Another for Comma D who is getting together a abunch of Bay Area cats on a release called Lightweight Leakage.

Keep an eye out for those mixtapes and an ear out for those slaps.....couple goods songs people.

Also, today I made the final approval for album artwork, we should have the album in our hands in no more then 12 days!!

Finally the Epidemic is here!

We got word that our album Weather Underground has been accepted to pandora.com !!!

Pandora is a great site that brings new music to listeners through something called the genome project. The genome project takes music that listeners enjoy and finds music similar to their selections.

We are super excited for this, it will take awhile before our music actually makes it on the site....stay tuned for updates.


Today we turned our album over to Justin Weis over at Trakworx for mastering. We should have our completed project this week and then off to manufacturing!

We were really hoping to collaborate with Chali2na on a track that also features Kanetic Source. Unfortunately Chali is super swamped with touring and promotion of his recent album \'Fish Outta Water\' and his soon to release \'FishMarket2\'.

So we hollered at our homeboy Nima Fadavi from Ineffable Music Group ....and he recommended Zumbi from Zion I. So our hopes are definitely high, we are going to talk to Zumbi next week.

We have finally finished up mixing and editing for the Epidemic album. Our boy Brian DeLizza at FreqLab Recording studio has done it again....dude is insane with his mixing skills.

We are getting close....this one is going to be off the hook!

We just got back from a great show at the Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley. Chali 2na is doing big things touring for his latest release Fish Outta Water....backed by a live band, the show is unbelievable. So much fun, hip hop how it is meant to be.

Also in the house was our homey Kanetic Source who has collaborated with Tuna on Fish Outta Water and on his own solo effort, The Duck Project. Don sleep on either of these albums.....some real hip hop!

Last night we had a great session at Freq Lab studios in San Francisco. Azreal killed it on a verse for a track DJ Phonic is producing for his own solo project. The NOV8RZ are currently in the studio working on their sophomore release. This project will rely less on features and almost entirely on the crew themselves. Expect to see a couple features from some serious emcees, but this record is going to be coming almost entirely from the NOV8RZ. With nearly five tracks completed, this album will be released late 2009.

DJ Phonic is continuing his collaboration with Optyma, the two are building a catalog of beats that reflects many genres. Phonic is also collaborating with various musicians as a producer/writer of original music. All the while Phonic maintains his presence in the studio, making a business out of his dope production skills.
